About Earthfort
small but mighty
As a small team, we focus on quality service and customer care.
We are eager to help you improve your soils.
Our Story
Founded in 2004, Earthfort set out to address common soil problems such as compaction, erosion, low water holding capacity, and decreased soil biology.
Through biological soil testing and education, Earthfort has helped countless farmers and ranchers understand how their soil biology can (and should be) functioning to ensure their healthiest and most profitable land possible.
Products like Soil Fortify & Soil ReVive introduce living components back into the soil to help maintain and optimize soil health, improving farmers’ livelihoods and the overall ecosystem of the land.
Meet The Founder
Matt first started working in the soil industry in 2003 by creating a working database system for a Corvallis, Oregon laboratory. In 2011, Matt bought out the soil testing lab, and created his own line of soil health amendments: Soil Fortify, Soil ReVive, and Soil ProVide. He has since traveled to multiple countries, worked with every major crop type, and has consulted in most of the continental United States.
In 2023, he developed Earthfort Africa, Ltd. and began exporting Soil Fortify to Kisumu County, Kenya for use on hundreds of small farms, working alongside local government officials to improve the country’s crop conditions, agricultural practices, and overall soil health.

Matt is always learning and attempting to integrate natural, holistic processes into agriculture. When not working, you might find him walking in the woods of Oregon with his wife and dog.
Earthfort is comprised of a small team that is primarily focused on customer support through consultation and education. We help both small and large-scale farmers to integrate biological farming into their current program.
Soil Fortify is designed to be a food resource that replaces inorganic fertilizer and enhances soil health. This product has a long shelf life, which allows producers to apply products on their own schedule. Soil Fortify greatly reduces barriers to entry in beginning regenerative farming.
